CASE STUDIES
Scott, Louisiana
PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Scott had a strategic growth plan to improve the community with sustainable infrastructure that would also increase tourism plus offer a modern and beautiful venue for youth sports, tournaments, and community events. The City envisioned a new state-of-the-art sports complex with nine baseball, softball fields, and T-ball fields, including foundation, turf, LED lighting, fixtures, a volleyball court, and associated infrastructure.
COMMUNITY IMPACT: The Hank Aaron Sports Academy now hosts a variety of high school and college games throughout the year. The facilities provide a home field for practice and games to the Jackson Public High Schools who do not have a field of their own. During the summer, a number of youth Travel Baseball tournaments are hosted at the stadium, some bringing in tens of thousands of visitors to the local area. In addition, the stadium plays host to the GCAC Baseball Conference Championship and the SWAC Baseball Conference Championship. Local community events, concerts, car shows and festivals have been added to the line-up of entertainment since the renovation was complete in 2022. The overall economic impact to local communities is estimated in the tens of millions annually.

Crowley, Louisiana
PROJECT SCOPE: 9 fields – infield and outfield – including historical Miller Stadium & more.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The City experienced immediate cash flow generation which significantly improved the entire local economy due to increased tourism and the growing number of facility events scheduled. Initially, the recreation director believed that, due to budget constraints, the City would only be able to upgrade the infields with turf.
By partnering with Sustainability Partners and utilizing SP’s Infrastructure as a Service® model the City now enjoys nine beautiful, fully renovated, turf fields with both infields and outfields completed. Congratulations, Crowley!

Eunice, LA
Sneak Peak: Project Timeline
PROJECT SCOPE:
8 infields + LED lighting accomplishing the City’s goals of environmental and social improvements with decreased chemical usage and sustainable infrastructure for long-term community use.

COMMUNITY IMPACT: A fantastic project accomplishing the City’s goals of environmental and social improvements with decreased chemical usage and sustainable infrastructure for long-term community use. The City pays a monthly usage rate based on sunny days (i.e., the number of days with rainfall below 0.5” multiplied by the 8 fields determined using statistical analysis on over 30 years of historical weather data from NOAA). SP Infrastructure Specialists coordinate regular field grooming as well as regular maintenance.
